Money Maker and our clients are dedicated to helping you, the affiliate, get
the most from your affiliate relationship(s). The following tips can help you
maximize your site's revenue-generating potential.
1.Match the content of your site to the merchant's offerings. The
more closely your site's content is tied to the merchant's offerings, the more you will
sell.
2.Recommend specific products to your visitors. This is far more efficient than sending
your visitors, without focus, to a large store where they can become easily distracted.
3.Use a variety of links! Use the type of link that is most appropriate for the content
being presented. For example, your site is dedicated to the arts and you're a member
of barnesandnoble.com's affiliate network. In the area where you discuss photography,
link to a specific photography book. When discussing music, you may use a link to the
music category or section instead of specific CD or music book.
4.Product reviews work great! Someone excited about your review will be eager to
purchase the product.
5.Place merchant links in either the top right corner of your Web site or
closest to the content that the link complements.
6.Change links frequently to provide your repeat visitors with something new and
interesting.
It is far easier to sell a new item to a satisfied customer than it is to sell an existing
item to a potential customer.
What is an affiliate network?
An affiliate network means selling in context:
offering products and services by erecting virtual storefronts within thousands of
high-profile web sites. As an affiliate, you display merchandise directly on your
web site, driving the sales transactions back through the merchant's existing
electronic store. An affiliate network extends a merchant's reach and maximizes
impression-to-sale ratio through affinity-selling. Today's leading online
merchandisers find that affiliate networks result in dramatically increased sales at
a fraction of the cost of CPM advertising.
How do I enroll in a program? Enrollment is easy. Simply click on a program you
would like to Apply to and fill out a form. The merchant(s) will contact you via e-mail
to inform you of your acceptance. Merchants have different application review processes
which means the time interval from applying to hearing back will vary.
Can I join multiple programs?
Yes.
How do I get paid?
Merchants will inform you of their specific payment policies. Depending on the merchant
and type of products or services you are selling, payment range from commissions of
up to 20% to bounties and finder's fees. The merchant will outline its payment policy to
you in further detail when you are accepted into a program.
